The Women's Poker Association (WPA) has offered a daily planner for women planning to play one or more ladies poker events during an early-December run that includes tournaments and gatherings at several Las Vegas casinos.
Collected together as the 2023 Winter Ladies Poker Week, the events are an abbreviated version of the "Ladies Summer Camp" that the WPA helped promote last June. The upcoming Winter Ladies Poker Week includes tournaments and social gatherings between December 5 and 10, 2023, including the multi-day $1,100 WPT Womens Poker Championship at the Wynn that begins December 6.
Resorts World, Orleans, Westgate also offering events
The daily planner also includes multiple events from the Women in Poker Winter Festival, which will be held at Resorts World Las Vegas beginning December 6. Offered at a more affordable price point than the WPT Womens Poker Championship, the Resorts World LV gathering includes five tourneys, including both the multiple $360 WIP Championship starting December 7 and an open "Guys and Gals" survivor event on Friday, December 8 that is open to men as well as women.
Add in special ladies events at the Orleans on December 7 and Westgate on December 9 and the Vegas poker scene offers plenty of action designed for women. The WPA has also created a special Daily Planner chronological graphic for the six days of poker festivities, which can be downloaded or printed for reference.
The ladies-poker festivities will stretch beyond the December 5-10 window as well. In a late update, Resorts World LV has scheduled a #200 survivor event on December 2 that will award $1,100 packages, which will likely be usable as entries into the $1,100 championship at the Wynn:
The Mimosa Meet-Up game to be hosted by Jamie Kerstetter at the Wynn in conjunction with the WPT Ladies Championship also turns out to not be the only ladies MUG of the week. The Ladies in Poker Tour (LIPS) and Poker Friends Forever (PFF) are hosting a second ladies-only meet-up game, with this one at the Sahara. The LIPS/PFF gathering takes place beginning at 6 pm on December 5 and will be hosted by Women in Poker Hall of Fame (WiPHoF) members Linda Johnson and Jan Fisher.
