The last time the World Poker Tour came to the Wynn, it was for the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas, which had the biggest prizepool in WPT history ($29,008,000).
Today, a brand-new WPT event has kicked off and it’s for a great cause: Introducing the $10,500, $10M GTD WPT EveryOne for One Drop! There will be three Day 1 flights and will run through July 14th. The tournament’s final table will also be live-streamed.
Of course, you can expect many of poker’s familiar faces to be here once their WSOP Main Event journey has come to an end.

Players will start with 40,000 chips and play 10 60-minute levels on Day 1 and Day 2, with Day 3 scheduled to run until six players remain. Day 4 will play down to a champion, with blind levels being reduced to 30 minutes once heads-up play begins. Only one re-entry is allowed per flight, late registration closes at the end of Level 9, and $200 from each buy-in will go to the One Drop Foundation.
The One Drop Foundation, created in 2007 by Guy Laliberte, has been an important component of poker-world charity efforts since 2011. The foundation’s ongoing aim is to ensure sustainable access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene for communities facing extreme barriers to clean-water access. One Drop Foundation raises funding and furthers its global work through “innovative partnerships, creativity, and the power of art.”
On July 14th, the same day as the EveryOne For One Drop Final Day, the $111,000 WPT Alpha8 for One Drop will commence, with $7,000 from each entry going to the One Drop Foundation. The three-day, super-high-roller event is sure to bring in some of the biggest names in poker. To top everything off, Days 2 and 3 of Alpha8 will also be live-streamed.
The event also marks the return of WPT’s Alpha8 brand, a super high-roller tournament series that has been dormant since 2016. WPT Alpha8 for One Drop Korea will take place a week later on July 21st, offering a tournament with a 17,000,000 KRW (~$13,000) buy-in.
“We are excited to put on our first-ever One Drop Foundation events in partnership with WPT and the WPT Foundation,” One Drop Foundation’s Chief Marketing and Events Officer. Alexandre Meunier said back in March when the event was announced. “It is a pleasure to be hosted at the beautiful Wynn Las Vegas. We thank them for their hospitality and support in advancing our global mission.” Meunier also spoke at length with PokerOrg’s Terrance Reid about One Drop’s new partnership with the WPT.
