The $5 Million Guaranteed Venom PKO begins on April 30 with the first of four opening-day flights. The tournament plays out over a two-week span, with the final table scheduled for Wednesday, May 11.

The Venom PKO features the progressive knockout format. The $2,650 buy-in tournament offers a $5 million guaranteed prize pool, and as per Venom tradition that prize money represents one of the biggest guarantees of any U.S.-facing online tournament in 2021 so far.

Online poker’s biggest PKO tournament returns to WPN
The upcoming Venom PKO marks the first of two runs of the progressive knockout tournament on WPN in 2021. The $5 million guaranteed prize pool makes the Venom PKO the biggest progressive knockout tournament in the world.
The previous chapter of the Venom PKO ran this past fall, with big player turnout leading to a smashing of the $5 million guarantee. A total of 2,711 entries pushed the final prize pool to $6,777,500.
Grinder ‘pinguinachica’ emerged victorious in the tournament, winning $751,067. That total included the $477,814 first-place prize, and an additional $273,253 in bounties.
The progressive bounties and tournament prize money will likely hit big numbers again for the next edition of the Venom PKO. The $2,650 buy-in event offers four Day 1 flights, on April 30, May 2, May 7, and May 9.
Survivors from those four Day 1 flights return as a combined field for Day 2 action on May 10. The tournament plays on for three more days from there, and a champion will be crowned on Wednesday, May 12.
“It means a great opportunity to win a boatload of cash,” said ACR Team Pro Jeff Boski in a Twitter video post on Wednesday. “Six figures at the final table. Nits will be punished; aggressive maniacs will be rewarded.”
“It is the biggest, the baddest, the most brutal PKO on the planet,” added ACR Team Pro Jon Pardy.
