Event #55 of the 2021 WSOP is the $400 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold’em. This four-day event began with the first of two starting flights, Day 1A, at 10 am on Friday, October 29. A second starting flight got underway at 10 am on Saturday, October 30. Players were allowed one re-entry per flight, and players who busted on Day 1A were allowed to re-enter on Day 1B as well. The COLOSSUS exceeded the Main Event in terms of total entrants.
Anatolii Zyrin scored the first-place prize in one of the 2021 World Series of Poker's largest-turnout events ever in the $400 Colossus No-Limit Hold'em tourney. Zyrin, who hails from Russia blasted through a 9,399-entry field to score the second WSOP bracelet of his career in the tournament.
Zyrin tackled a career-best $314,705 cash after sending the United States' Michael Lee to the rail to nail down the win. The payout outshined the $199,838 Zyrin came away with for winning a $1,500 Omaha-mix tourney in 2019. Lee scored $194,450 for the runner-up showing. The U.S.'s Kevin Rand ended up in third place with $147,595.
In 2019, South Korea’s Sejin Park earned his country’s first-ever WSOP gold bracelet by winning this event. Park topped a 13,109-entry field to earn $451,272.
