The RunGood Poker Series announced this week that the tour will return to Thunder Valley Casino and Resort this July. The Thunder Valley stop marks the end of the Checkpoint season for 2023.
The three-week stop offers an action-packed slate of events. The schedule includes seventeen ring events along with an impressive lineup of weekend multi-flight tournaments. Opening weekend of the stop kicks off with Thunder Valley's $250,000 GTD Monolith. The highly-anticipated $500,000 guaranteed Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship makes its debut as well, a first for North America.
"We're honored to join forces with the RunGood Poker Series and Thunder Valley to bring you this tremendous event. This is the first time a THM-branded event has been announced for North America,” said Eric Danis, President of GPI/The Hendon Mob.
"We're thrilled to bring the RunGood Poker Series back to Thunder Valley Casino and Resort," said Tana Karn, Founder and President of RunGood. "With an incredible lineup of tournaments and newly minted partnership with GPI and THM, this year's series is set to be one of the most exciting yet."
The highlight of the series is the $1M GTD RunGood Checkpoint Main Event.
A shot at the Dream Seat
While the tour may conclude in July, the fun for players does not end there. RunGood will invite ring winners back to Thunder Valley in November for the Dream Seat Invitational sponsored by PokerGO. Invitees will have the opportunity to buy in to the private event. The top prize awards the winner an added seat to the PokerGO Tour Championship $1M free-roll. The seat offers a chance to play at the PokerGO Studio and a shot at the million-dollar prize pool. The 2022 PGT Championship free-roll had forty total qualifiers.
